ATL Polo getting the come up
I've been working with Eighth Inch for a while now helping them develop their mallet heads. Well, the wait has finally come to an end with these fine final models.
The come in a handful of different colors and are made of HDPE-- the same material that most players are currently using. Designed around a one bolt attachment method swapping out shafts is extremely fast. A cool feature that keeps the mallet heads from being proprietary (which is a pet peeve of mine) is that the diameter of the opening in the mallet for the shaft is 19mm. This is the same diameter of the non-tapered end of a ski pole.
All in all I am extremely happy with how the final design turned out-- they play wonderfully and are super solid. I can't wait until their production shaft drops because the combo of the two should be one of the stoutest set-ups on the market.
